Healthy Eating Active Living New Hampshire (HEAL) is pleased to announce the release of the Community Grant Program 2012 Request for Applications (RFA).

CONCORD --HEAL is seeking applications from New Hampshire municipalities (cities and towns) that are committed to developing local solutions for improving access to affordable, healthy foods and opportunities for active living.
2009 Community Grant Program Awards
$600,000 in Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Grant Funds Awarded to Four New Hampshire Community Partnerships
HEAL Projects serve 47 cities and towns
Four community partnerships were selected to receive the first ever Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Community Grant Program awards in 2009. Each partnership is in the process of implementing three-year HEAL projects aimed at decreasing obesity and improving the health and quality of life of the residents they serve.
- The Franklin / Three Rivers HEAL project represents Franklin and 12 surrounding towns.
- The Cheshire County HEAL Healthiest Community Initiative represents Keene and 22 surrounding towns.
- The Lakes Region HEAL represents Laconia and 8 surrounding towns.
- The Upper Valley HEAL represents Lebanon and 5 surrounding towns.
