The Leadership Council provides guidance to the HEAL Initiative and for implementation of the 2014-2019 Healthy People Healthy Places Plan
This committee assists with developing the HEAL evaluation plan and monitoring the HEAL Initiative’s progress toward meeting HEAL Action Plan goals and objectives, and assess changes in population health.
The Workgroup is made up of partners from across NH who are interested in increasing access to places to play and recreate for NH residents. The activities of the Workgroup are aimed at accomplishing three Healthy People Healthy Places Plan strategies: 1. Joint Use Agreements, 2. Public and Private Investment, 3. Increase Use.
HEAL partners with Bike-Walk Alliance of NH and Transport NH to lead a growing coalition of organizations who believe that having a statewide Complete Streets policy will lead to more livable communities that increase the safety, health and well-being of NH citizens and create economic opportunity through increased tourism and retail sales, as well as attracting skilled young workers who prefer to live and work where they can walk, bike and take transit.
