  • UNH is working on a statewide project now on mapping by state, county, city.
  • Nutrition Education available in NH elementary schools to teach children the relationship between food and good health to fight childhood obesity
  • Bedford: Winter farmers market, place hiking trails on the town website.
  • To add 5 NEW restaurants in the Turn a New Leaf Program in Cheshire County by fall 2012
  • ELFS Plymouth capture funding for a garden coordinator and mechanisms for perpetual support.
  • Laconia: Movement Breaks in ALL Laconia classrooms
  • Laconia: Gardens in daycare and schools
  • Laconia: youth and public HEAL Advocacy
  • PSU - DFALHC: Establish rich partnership network to advocate for "complete streets" policy in rural towns
  • Mt. Washington Valley, NH: Encourage young professional involvement through community based projects.
  • Inspire 65 graduates of MWV leadership to take on a community project!
  • Londonderry, NH: Start a healthy living leadership program in our town or area to help young people to address today's problems in our community (obesity, energy, getting people outside)
  • Bedford, NH: Enhance and extend Bedford's portion of NH's Heritage Trail.
  • Continue to have discussion across professional sectors. Ie. Planning and transportation working with health and nutrition.
  • Franklin: Franklin / Odell Park Committee proposes to build a fishing pier for community use. At Daniel Park, will get new playground equipment. Community Build Day is Oct 7 and 8.
  • Increased interest in healthy food options
  • Tina Layton, RD, Dartmouth Dietitian: Nutrition counseling should be covered by all insurance companies including Medicaid.
  • Goffstown: Grow a Row for Food Pantry
  • Goffstown: After School Program
  • Goffstown: School Farm stand
  • Goffstown: Healthy options in restaurants
  • To see more people of all ages and abilities walking and bicycling in my community.
  • Belmont: Help people grocery shop for healthy, economical food. Educate parents and children how to read food labels easier.
